On behalf of the students, staff, parents, and community, I would like to welcome you to Gibbs Elementary School.  Gibbs Elementary has had the pleasure of educating the children of northeast Canton for more than 80 years.  Student achievement is our highest priority.  At Gibbs, we provide an exciting environment that encourages “high expectations, engaging work, and a positive, respectful environment”.

    Gibbs offers unique and innovative programs such as Smartboards, technology-based learning, literacy centers, literature circles, guided reading groups, as well as partnerships that promote individualized learning for each child.  Our partners in education include Malone College and Canton Calvary Mission.

    In addition to classroom activities that contribute to student success, we provide many incentives and rewards for those students that strive to achieve and practice being good citizens.  Gibbs is the school of choice for many families in the community.  We hope it becomes your choice too.
